Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--Emmetsburg Police are investigating a trio of restaurant burglaries.
Early Wednesday morning Police were called to Dairy Queen after staff found a door forced open. The store safe was broken into with an undetermined amount of cash taken. The door damage is estimated at $1,500. This break in is believed to have occurred sometime after 1:00 Wednesday morning.
As Police were investigating an attempted break in was reported at the A&W restaurant. Someone tried to pry open a door to gain entry causing around $100 worth of damage. The break in attempt was unsuccessful .
Police were then dispatched to Pizza Hut. Entry was gained by force through a door. A cash drawer was forced open and an office safe was broken into. No money was taken. The damage estimate came to $1,750.
This investigation is ongoing.
