E-Book Issues

Spencer, IA (KICD)--Some bad news for out of town patrons of the Spencer Public Library.

Interim Director Paula Brown tells KICD News that they provide e-books for those with e-reader devices from a company by the name of Overdrive free of charge.

Brown says that all citizens of Spencer will not be affected by this change.

Brown says because the library leases the e-books from Overdrive there is nothing they can do.

The flier will also include links to other sources where you can get free e-books.  Brown says the library with look into contracting with other providers in the future.
