Milford, IA (KICD) -- A single vehicle accident injures two.
The Dickinson County Sheriffs Office says the mishap occurred around 9:20 last Sunday evening, in the 1500 block of A-34, west of Milford. A 2004 Chrysler, driven by 45-year old James Cox of Lake Park was westbound on A-34, when he lost control of the vehicle, going off the road, then striking some trees.
Cox was transported to Lakes Regional Healthcare by Ambulance, with incapacitating injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 3-year old Chase Westlake suffered non-incapacitating injuries and was also taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare.
Cox and his passenger had to be extricated from the vehicle. Damage to the Chrysler was estimated at $9000. The accident remains under investigation. Assisting at the scene was the Milford Fire Department, Milford Rescue, along with Milford Police, and Spirit Lake Ambulance.
