Clay Fatal Accident



 Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Rossie woman was killed in a two vehicle accident.

   The Clay County Sheriffs Office said the fatal accident took place this morning around 9:45, in the 4100 mile on Highway 71.  A 2003 Jeep Liberty, driven by 40-year old Mindee Wilcox was northbound on Highway 71, when she lost control of the vehicle, due to icy road conditions.  The Jeep slid across the centerline into the path of a southbound 2009 Kenworth, driven by 56-year old Gary Yeager of Hershey, Nebraska.

  Wilcox was killed in the accident, while Yeager was not injured.  Assisting at the scene was the Iowa State Patrol, Clay County Emergency Management, Royal and Spencer Fire and Rescue, and Clay County Medical Examiner
