Spencer, IA (KICD)--The burn ban for Clay County has officially been lifted.
Clay County Fire Chiefs Association President Tim Sylvester gives KICD News the thought behind this decision.
Sylvester says that you should still proceed with caution
Spencer Fire Chief Doug Duncan reminds all that open burning in the city limits of Spencer is prohibited by ordinance.
Today's announcement leaves Osceola, O'Brien, Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth, and Buena Vista as the only counties in the area with a burn ban still in effect.
