Clay Absentee Voting

Spencer, IA (KICD)--Friday was the final day for Iowans to request an absentee ballot by mail.

Those who have received an absentee ballot must mail out their vote by this coming Monday.

Clay County Auditor Marge Pitts tells KICD News that out of the approximate 12,000 registered voters in Clay County, roughly 80 percent are expected to cast a ballot.

Pitts share some voter demographics from Clay County.

Pitts has been taken back somewhat by the volume of absentee ballots cast and requested.

The Clay County Auditor's Office is open special hours today from 9-5.
