CCF Opening Grandstand Act

Spencer, IA (CCF)--The Clay County Fair Grandstand stage will feature country music performances by superstar LeAnn Rimes with special guest Easton Corbin on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 7:30 p.m.

LeAnn Rimes started her music career early by winning her first talent contest at age five and recording her first album three years later. A popular name on the country music charts since that time, Rimes has had 42 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, 13 of which made the Top 10. Rimes’ “How Do I Live” is the second-longest charting song in the Billboard Hot 100 chart history, and her hit “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” topped charts in 11 countries. Rimes received two Grammy nominations for her 2007 album, Family.

The youngest person ever to win a Grammy, Rimes boasts over 40 million album sales, two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards. She was also the first country artist to win the Grammy for Best New Artist. Rimes received a Grammy nomination in 2011 for her rendition of the hit, “Swingin,” originally performed by John Anderson. Rimes will continue her over two-decade career and powerful voice in the music industry with the fall release of her new album, Spitfire.

Easton Corbin is described as unapologetically country. After signing with Universal Music Group in early 2009, Corbin released his first single, “A Little More County Than That” in July of that year. He released a four-song EP in August 2009, which was followed by his full-length, self-titled debut album in 2010. Corbin sings a wide range of music from the upbeat love song “The Way Love Looks” to “I Can’t Love You Back,” a universal message of loss. Steel guitars and fiddles are as much a part of his sound as his baritone drawl.
