Spencer, Iowa (CCF)--The Northwest Bank Stage will host music, comedy and magic during the 2012 “Discover the Greatest” Clay County Fair.
“With its strong variety and balance of previous fairgoer favorites and new acts, the Northwest Bank Stage is definitely going to be one of the many highlights of the 2012 Fair,” said CCF Manager Jeremy Parsons.
The Northwest Bank Stage, one of seven stages on the grounds, is part of the $110,000 in free entertainment offered to fairgoers at the 2012 Clay County Fair.
Singer/songwriter Becky Schlegel and comedian Jason Schommer kick off the schedule, performing Sept. 8-10. Becky Schlegel’s bluegrass music transforms life’s experiences into passionate and unique songs. Jason Schommer will keep the audience laughing with humorous observations of life coupled with his commentaries on pop culture.
Looney Lutherans and Bob and Beachcombers take the stage Sept. 11-13. The Looney Lutherans come together for an interactive and family-friendly show involving music and comedy. Bob and Beachcombers will take the audience back to the classic rock and roll beach hits of the 60s and 70s, and perform other rock and roll favorites.
The final weekend at the Northwest Bank Stage will feature Jared Sherlock and Six Appeal Sept. 14-16. Jared Sherlock’s love for magic combines with humor for a performance that will amaze audiences of all ages. A male a capella group, Six Appeal uses strong vocals to span decades of oldies, current hits and original music.
