CCCF Grant Deadline



Spencer, IA (KICD)--The deadline to apply for 2013 Clay County Community Foundation grant funds is approaching next week.

Board President Anna Harmon tells KICD News that the foundation is funded through a mixture of state gaming revenues and donations from the public.

Harmon says they attempt to spread their funding throughout Clay County with a focus on economic development and job creation; cultural, recreational, social and educational activities; and support existing organizations, resources and services.

Grant applications must be turned into the Clay County ISU Extension Office by 4:00 this coming Tuesday.  The award banquet will be held sometime in early April.  Grant requests may range from $500 to $10,000 with more info on rules found at www.siouxlandcommunityfoundation.org/clay.aspx.   Approximately $90,000 will be available for 2013.
