Brian Schmitt

I was born and raised in the Graettinger area. After graduating from Graettinger High School in 1992, I worked for a few years in the retail sector before joining the KICD staff part-time back in November of 2000. I became the full-time evening announcer in July of 2002.

From an early age, music and sports have been two of my main interests. The radio in my room was almost always on, and if I wasn’t listening to music, it was Minnesota Twins baseball. As I got older, I also took an interest in weather and news. So I guess it’s not a huge surprise that I eventually ended up pursuing a career in radio.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends along with reading the occasional book or two. Of course, I still like to listen to music and play or watch sports when I get the chance.
