Beaten Spencer Man Passes

Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Spencer man has died after being badly beaten last month.

On August 28th 59-year-old Edward Kitto was found beaten and uressponsive in the back yard of a home in the 500 block of East 3rd Street. Spencer Police report that Kitto never regained consciousness and passed away Saturday at a Sioux Falls Hospital.

As a result 21-year-old Christopher FItzpatrick of Spencer has now been charged with a class A felony count of 1st degree murder. Fitzpatrick was already being held in Clay County jail on charges of 1st degree robbery and willful injury.
