She says each barn has a story and, like the farmers who built them, each one is different. She adds that Iowans have an undying devotion to restoring old barns.
The self-guided tours run from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. next Saturday and Sunday. One of the Northwest Iowa barns on this year’s tour is the Hansen Barn near Ruthven in Clay County.
