Spencer, IA (KICD)--Drug charges were filed against an Arnolds Park man following a Thursday evening traffic stop by the Clay County Sheriff's Office.
33-year-old Eric Christopher Hartung was pulled over for having no rear tail lights and told the Deputy he worked at the Spencer Airport and wanted to return there and fix his vehicle, so the Deputy agreed to follow him.
The Deputy noticed a black nylon bag on the highway while following Hartung back to the airport. The Deputy returned back to the bag and found prescription pill bottles with Hartung’s name on them. Pot and drug paraphernalia was found in the bag.
The Deputy located Hartung at the Spencer Airport and took him into custody on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Hartung posted a $2,000 bond and was released from Clay County jail with a court date.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A person wanted on multiple warrants by Storm Lake Police was recently arrested in Spencer.
Last October 32-year-old Christian Wunder Jr. of Storm Lake allegedly stole a phone from Wireless World in Storm Lake.
In late January Police took a report of personal checks being stolen from a residence and later allegedly being forged at the Storm Lake Wal-Mart Store for several hundred dollars.
Storm Lake Police subsequently issued arrest warrants for Wunder charging him a class B felony count of Ongoing Criminal Conduct, two class D felony counts of Forgery, 3rd and 5th Degree Theft.
Wunder was further wanted out of Buena Vista County on the charge of Failure to Appear in Court reference 3 counts of Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs and 1 count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also wanted out of Dickinson County.
Wunder was booked into the Clay County Jail on a $37,000 cash bond awaiting transfer to the Buena Vista County Jail.
