Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)--A number of charges land a man in the Dickinson County jail.
Adam Taswell was arrested early today on charges of possession of prescription drugs and drug paraphernalia, prohibited acts, speeding, and no insurance.
Spirit Lake Police are putting together a more detailed report.
Estherville, IA (KICD)--A Milford man is arrested for stealing an armful of tools from a parked truck at the Estherville Bomgaar’s parking lot on Thursday.
The victim advised that he had parked his work vehicle in the parking lot and when he came out of the store, a man had a door open on his utility box and had an arm full of his tools. The victim told officers that he yelled at the suspect and chased him away from his truck.
K-9 Max was able to track the suspect to a nearby neighborhood and did locate some stolen tools; however the suspect was not located at that time.
With the assistance from Milford Police 31-year-old John Haisman was arrested on a class D felony charge of 3rd degree burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia .
Haisman was placed in the Emmet County Jail on the charges. He made an initial appearance in front of a magistrate and was issued a bond of $6,500 cash or surety which was posted on Saturday.
The investigation continues and further charges are pending.
Estherville, IA (KICD)--A pair of forgery charges are filed by Estherville Police.
Several checks were reported stolen in December and the checks were being forged in an Estherville business. Following investigation, officers placed 38-year-old Amelia Corona, of Estherville, under arrest. Corona was charged with 2 class D felony counts of forgery for two checks written in an amount exceeding $170.
Corona was released after making an initial appearance.
The Estherville Police Department would like to take this time to warn all citizens to lock their vehicles and homes and to protect their identity from thieves at all time.
