Pocahontas, IA (KICD)--A Curlew man is jailed on a class C felony charge of 3rd degree sex abuse.

The Pocahontas County Sheriff's Office says the charges stem from a report from a co-worker of 28-year-old Dana Igou that he sexually assaulted her on Tuesday. The alleged incident took place at Brand FX, a manufacturing plant located just outside of Pocahontas.

Igou is currently being held in Pocahontas County jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.

Emmetsburg, IA (KICD)--Two avoid serious injures following a semi versus car accident Thursday morning.

Palo Alto County Deputies were called out at 7:44 two and a half miles east of Emmetsburg on Highway 18. Alexander Mathews of Emmetsburg was heading east on 270th Street in a 2008 Ford. He did not notice an eastbound 2001 Peterbuilt pulling a wide load that had slowed to a stop to allow traffic to clear the bridge. Matthews tried to swerve, but rear ended the trailer of the semi, and slid to the south shoulder.

Matthews and a passenger were checked by Emmetsburg Ambulance on scene and released.

Palo Alto County Emergency Management assisted on scene.
