Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--Storm Lake Police are called out Thursday night following a 911 call where the caller stated, “Send the police,” and then hung up.
An investigation alleges that 30-year-old Edward Fowler, 20-year-old Eric Sprat, and 36-year-old Lakeisha Fishback all of Storm Lake got into an argument outside of an apartment with a 4-year-old in the apartment. The two men reportedly assaulted each other and Fowler assaulted Fishback who armed herself with a butcher knife and threatened to stab Fowler.
Fishback faces class D felony charges of going armed with intent and assault while participating in a felony as well as Domestic Assault While Displaying a Weapon (aggravated misdemeanor), and Child Endangerment. Fishback was booked into county jail and held without bond. She suffered minor injuries but declined medical attention.
Fowler was held without bond on charges of Domestic Assault Causing Injury, Child Endangerment, and Assault.
Spratt was arrested for assault. He was held on a $300 cash bond.
The child was not injured and was placed with family members. A report was made to the Iowa Department of Human Services.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--A Clarion woman is jailed after striking a number of construction cones within the work zone of Highway 71.
Clay County Deputies received the report of 57-year-old Victoria Iverson striking the cones shortly before 10:00 Wednesday evening. Following traffic stop Iverson was placed under arrest on a class D felony count of OWI 3rd offense and cited for having an open container.
Iverson was held in Clay County jail to appear before the Magistrate.
Pocahontas, IA (KICD) -- Three are arrested on multiple charges.
The Pocahontas County Sheriffs Office says a vehicle with three individuals was found on a gravel road north of Pocahontas Thursday. The three were smoking marijuana in the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle found a bag of marijuana was found. Officers then arrested 34-year old Jason Hanson and 42-year old Tamera Hanson, both of Albert City, along with 55-year old Jennings Dodril of Pocahontas, charging all with Possession of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Trespass.
Authorities then contacted the Buena Vista County Sheriffs office, which resulted in a search of the Hanson residence in Albert City.
Drug Paraphernalia and a substance believed to be marijuana was found in the home, and was sent to the DCI Lab to be analyzed. Additional charges are pending by the Buena Vista County Sheriffs Office.
The three are being held on bonds of $1600 each.
Dickens, IA (KICD)--A Dickens woman is arrested following a disturbance at the Dickens Library on Thursday.
The librarian reported that 19-year-old Kelsey Hagedorn was yelling at her and pushed items off her desk.
Clay County Deputies later made contact with Hagedorn at the Clay County Jail where she was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A Storm Lake man is jailed for having marijuana at this workplace.
Bomgaars management located a small amount of marijuana at the store and alleged that the drugs belonged to an employee identified as 18-year-old Edgar Jimenez.
Following an investigation Storm Lake Police charged Jimenez with Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail on a $1,000.00 cash bond.
