Greenville, IA (KICD)--A Greenville man is jailed following a Saturday night shotgun incident.
The wife of 45-year-old Danny Knutson told authorities her husband came home from the bar intoxicated. He got upset about there not being any towels and got into an argument with her daughter. Knutson than allegedly took his shotgun out to the garage and fired it twice before leaving.
When Deputies arrived Knutson was still not home although they did find a 12-gauge shotgun which was seized for evidence. Two holes were found that went through the interior and exterior wall and then through the siding which caused damage to the hood and windshield of a car outside the garage.
Knutson arrived home and was taken to the Clay County jail on a charge of reckless use of a firearm. He was held in anticipation of an appearance before a judge.
Spencer, IA(KICD)---An early Sunday morning traffic stop landed three people in the Clay County Jail.
Clay County sheriff's officers say they stopped a car driven by 22 year old Robert Tielbur from Spencer. A field sobriety test led deputies to arrest him for OWI.
Two passengers in the car -- 21 year old Jennifer Lange from Spencer and 18 year old Megan Moore of Milford also face charges.
Lange was charged after an investigation into an open vodka container found in the car. She claimed it belonged to someone else who had been arrested in Storm Lake earlier in the evening. Moore claimed the same thing.
Deputies, however, say their investigation showed the open container belonged to Lange. SHe was charged with an open container violation and interference with official acts.
Moore faces a count of interference with official acts.
Spencer, IA (KICD)--Drug paraphernalia charges land a Spencer man in the Clay County jail.
Following a traffic stop that involved underage drinking Clay County Deputies were led to a pair of homes. One of those was the home of Jon Kruse who admitted to the drinking taking place and said he had a marijuana bong in his bedroom. A consent search turned up another bond, grinders, pipe scrapers, and pipes.
Kruse was booked into jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and later released after posting bond.
Additional arrests are anticipated as the investigation continues.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A domestic disturbance call in Storm Lake Friday ended when police used a Taser on a suspect.
Police were sent to a home in the 200 block of Oneida Street.
Patrol officers say the woman at the home told them 56 year old Henry Jordan of Storm Lake allegedly assaulted her by overturning the chair in which she was sitting.
Jordan was placed under arrest at which time he reportedly became belligerent and charged an officer. A struggle ensued and ended with police using the Taser.
Jordan was taken to the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center for treatment of a fractured collar bone suffered in the fight with police.
He's charged with assaulting a police officer, interference with official acts, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Authorities also filed counts of domestic assault and criminal mischief against Jordan.
He's being held without bond in the Buena Vista County jail.
Storm Lake, IA (KICD)--A domestic disturbance brings out Storm Lake Police Saturday night.
Upon arrival to the home authorities met with 22-year-old Augustine Marin of Storm Lake. He reportedly refused officers commands and had to be physically removed from the doorway before being taken into custody.
A 17-year-old girl who was a victim of a domestic assault. She declined to cooperate with police and when the victim’s sister attempted to tell police about what happened the 17 year old allegedly attempted to assault her sister for calling the police. Police then arrested the 17 year old female.
Following an investigation police charged Marin with Domestic Assault and Interference With Official Acts. He was booked into the Buena Vista County Jail and held without bond.
The 17 year old female of Storm Lake was charged with Disorderly Conduct and Interference With Official Acts. She was processed and released to a parent pending a court date in Juvenile Court.
Sibley, IA (KICD)--A Sibley woman faces charges in connection with a November 7th fight outside of Alley 7 in Sibley.
A 911 call brought out Osceola County Sheriff's Officers. It is alleged that 23-year-old Heather Lavoie confronted a woman and assaulted her. A man attempted to intervene and was also assaulted by Lavoie.
Lavoie has been charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of assault.
Sibley, IA (KICD)--A Sibley man faces a sex abuse charge from the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.
After investigation into a July 25th incident 19-year-old Derrick Hoffman was charged with 3rd degree sexual abuse. The class C felony charge stems from a sexual assault allegedly committed by Hoffman on the aforementioned date.
