ATV Accident

Spencer, IA (KICD)--A 2-year-old boy is ran over by an ATV Monday night.

Spencer Police say they were called to 116 8th Street SE shortly after 6:00. A 10-year-old girl and the owner of the ATV told authorities they were driving around the yard as a bunch of kids were playing outside. The did not see the 2-year-old, Talyn Bauerly of Sergeant Bluff, and he was ran over. The two on the ATV got off and got the boy out from under the ATV.

Baurerly had a torn shirt and complained of his right index finger hurting. His parents took him to the Spencer Hospital. The other kids said the boy was chasing everybody around with a stick and simply could not get out of the way fast enough when the ATV drove by.
